Expert post
In cases where it is not necessary for the development of expertise, considering the qualification, experience and nature of work, the Government of Nepal may publish a notice in the Nepal Gazette and assign an expert post to a specific post in the gazetted category of the civil service. The special qualification required for that post should also be disclosed in such notification.

(1) In the case of gazetted posts, in order to be promoted in civil service, group or sub-group vacant posts by performance evaluation and seniority and performance evaluation, employees with the minimum service period and educational qualification as per section 21 of the relevant service, group or sub-group under the relevant service, group or sub-group in the case of gazetted posts.
